TAX RATE
Tarrant County Emergency Services District No. 1 (TCESD1) is funded through an ad valorem property tax. Property values are determined annually by the Tarrant County Appraisal District.
The TCESD1 tax rate is applied per $100 of taxable property value as certified by the Tarrant County Appraisal District. This rate funds fire suppression services, emergency medical response, apparatus and equipment purchases, station operations, personnel, and long-term capital improvements necessary to serve our growing community.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
If your home is valued at $300,000, the tax rate is applied to that amount (minus any exemptions) to determine your annual TCESD1 portion.
These funds support:
- Fire suppression services
- Emergency medical response
- Fire stations and apparatus
- Equipment and personnel
- Community safety programs
NOTICE OF ESTIMATED TAXES AND TAX RATE ADOPTION INFORMATION
Visit Texas.gov/propertytaxes to find a link to your local property tax database on which you can easily access information regarding your property taxes, including information regarding the amount of taxes that each entity that taxes your property will impose if the entity adopts its proposed tax rate. Your local property tax database will be updated regularly during August and September as local elected officials propose and adopt the property tax rates that will determine how much you pay in property taxes.
